Beyond the Pandemic

We welcomed news from the Queensland Small Business Commissioner who presented key findings from their Beyond the pandemic report that showed Queensland small businesses continue to not only survive but prosper with profitability up by 42 per cent outpacing the rise in wages and total expenses.

Australia has shown strength and resilience, quickly moving past the COVID-19 pandemic economically. 

The country is now experiencing high inflation and high interest rates that could curb economic growth in the short term; however, with Queensland experiencing strong population growth and a rebounding tourism sector, there are many opportunities for small businesses.

As a member of the Commissioner's regional roundtable we look forward to influencing policy decisions that continue to support and drive business sustainability.
