Media Release - The Rolls-Royce of Business Opportunites

MACKAY Region Chamber of Commerce are hosting Good Service is Good Business – a half day conference focused on how to become a service leader by making minor improvements that have a major impact.

The conference will be facilitated by Catherine DeVrye, a former IBM executive who now advises organisations such as Microsoft, American Express and Rolls-Royce.

An international best-selling author, Ms DeVrye will be working with business owners and their teams to provide practical action items to help boost a business’s bottom line, and team morale, without increasing costs.

“Good service not only helps you retain clients, it is a great way to differentiate your business from your competitors,” Ms DeVrye said.

“At this conference, we will be digging deep on how your team can exceed customer expectations – as well as pointers on turning obstacles to opportunities to lead a more fulfilled professional and personal life.”

Chamber Vice President Dave Whitson said that the event was an “all-round service-related event” that would “deliver multiple positive outcomes for local businesses”.

“As a business owner, I find that staff as well as clients enjoy working with a team who genuinely enjoys what they do, and do it really well,” Mr Whitson said.

“This event is to show you how to become a service leader in your industry, which leads to more referrals, more clients and a more productive and engaged team.”

Good Service is Good Business will be held at the Rydges Function Room on March 15 from 8.30am-1pm.

Tickets are on sale at www.mackayregionchamber.com.au, with discounted pricing for Chamber members and groups of three or more from one business.
